Romeo and Juliet Reflections

Shakespeare had a very complex view on love and hate. In Romeo and Juliet, he wanted them to be together. Shakespeare wanted them to be in love, but, he wasn't going to write this play without them having to go through some challenges along the way. He believed in love for sure, and transported his thoughts into his famous plays. For example, he described Romeo and Juliet as "star-crossed lovers." Shakespeare also wrote in this play "My love is as boundless as the sea." These are just two quotes, from one of his plays, that express his thoughts on love. As for hate, Shakespeare believes in that as well. In fact, he takes the two subjects, love and hate, and makes Romeo and Juliet. Shakespeare took two people from two feuding families, and made them in love. This is the hate part of Romeo and Juliet. Tybalt wants to fight Romeo, and Juliet's father is extremely upset at the even thought of the two being together. Both of these examples wouldn't have happened if it wasn't for the fact that they were both Capulet and Montague. He created this idea because he believes that it can't always just be happiness and love. That in life there will be some hate no matter what. Needless to say, Shakespeare was a complicated man. His plays, especially Romeo and Juliet, represent some love and some hate. Without a doubt, Shakespeare strongly believed in both love and hate.
